The Square Grouper project was a great deal of fun...

Carl came up with the idea for the design, hoping the client would agree with his vision.  Of course, the awsome concept was quickly approved and  we eagerly began the work.

Hours were spent in the surveying and permitting process.  Once all paperwork was in order, the all-metal frame quickly began to take shape. (Below)

The frame was constucted entirely of heavy guage steel that would eventually be strong enough to support the weight of the sign along with the heavy glass-block frame against strong winds.

Aluminum channels were hand-formed by our fabrication team and applied to the faces.  Cut from .040 Alum., the copy and graphics were assembled with only a simple paper pattern for reference.

The Faces were designed for easy maintenance built right in!
The faces swing out and are held open for easy access to all bulbs and transformers.

All-steel construction in the frame and supporting structures help make this sign sturdy and resistant to the often strong winds of the Florida Keys.

Glass blocks were painstakingly aligned to frame up this interesting design.

Neon (hand-crafted on premises) runs the full outer parameter of the sign, producing a cascade of glowing waves around the finished frame.
